AI credits & tokens

AI tokens are the fuel for every AI feature in EmailFlow AI. Each plan includes a generous monthly allotment that resets every billing cycle — from 100K on Free up to 250M on Enterprise.

What tokens power

Any time the AI does work for you, it spends tokens. That includes:

How usage adds up

Different features consume different amounts. Generating a full email or remixing an image uses more tokens than producing a few subject-line options. Longer, more complex requests cost more than short ones. In practice, the monthly allotments are sized so that normal day-to-day work fits comfortably within your plan.

Model tiers

Every plan includes a fast default model for the Design Studio and automation chats. Paid plans additionally unlock the latest frontier models — Claude Sonnet and Gemini Pro — selectable from the picker in either chat. Both tiers draw from the same monthly token allotment; what you pay in tokens depends on the length and complexity of the work, not on which tier you pick.

savings
Tokens are separate from your contact limit and monthly email volume. Building lots of emails won't eat into your AI tokens, and sending campaigns doesn't either.

When you run low

If you approach or reach your monthly token allotment, EmailFlow AI shows a clear in-app prompt to upgrade rather than cutting you off without warning — and you're never charged automatically. Your allotment refreshes at the start of the next billing cycle, and upgrading raises it immediately if you need more right away.

Choosing the right allotment

If you mostly send newsletters with occasional AI help, a smaller allotment is plenty. If you generate and remix heavily — lots of fresh designs, frequent image work, AI-built automations — a higher tier (or Enterprise's 250M tokens) keeps you moving without interruption. Review the tiers under Plans & quotas.

Making credits go further

  • Start from a template. Remixing an existing design uses fewer generations than building from a blank prompt.
  • Be specific. A clear prompt gets you closer on the first try, so you spend less refining.
  • Set your brand once. On-brand output from the start means fewer corrective edits.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I run out? You'll see an upgrade prompt. Moving to a higher plan raises your monthly AI allowance immediately.

Are AI tokens the same as a sending limit? No — they are separate meters. Your plan's monthly email volume covers sending; AI tokens only power generation features like text-to-email and image remix.
