Campaigns overview

A campaign is a one-time email send: you choose an email, pick who receives it, and send it now or schedule it for later. Campaigns are how you ship newsletters, announcements, and promotions — with real-time reporting on everything that happens after you hit send.

Campaigns vs. automations

Use a campaign for a single, deliberate send to a list or segment. Use an automation when you want messages to go out continuously in response to events (a new subscriber, a birthday, a tag). If you find yourself sending the same email to everyone who joins a list, that's a sign it belongs in an automation.

The lifecycle of a campaign

  1. Create the campaign and attach an email built in the AI Design Studio.
  2. Choose recipients — a whole list or a targeted segment.
  3. Set the subject, or generate options with AI.
  4. Optionally set up an A/B test to find the best version.
  5. Send or schedule — it's delivered through the sending provider you connected.
  6. Review reports as opens, clicks, and bounces roll in.

Sending is handled for you

Once you've connected a sending provider (Amazon SES recommended) and authenticated your domain, EmailFlow AI delivers your campaign through your own server, signs it with DKIM, and processes bounces and complaints automatically. Recipients are drawn from your verified contacts, and risky addresses are filtered by automatic verification before the send.

Email sending is unlimited on every plan — campaigns are limited only by your contact count. See Plans & quotas.

What you can measure

After a campaign goes out, the reports show opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, and link-level engagement in real time — so you can learn what resonated and apply it to the next send.

Best practices for campaigns

  • Target a segment, not always the whole list. Relevance lifts engagement and protects your reputation.
  • Lead with a strong subject line. It's the single biggest driver of opens.
  • Test before you commit. An A/B test finds the winning version and sends it to the rest automatically.
  • Send at the right time. Use scheduling to reach your audience when they're most likely to be in their inbox.

After you send

The work isn't over at send time. Open your reports to see opens, clicks, and bounces as they arrive, learn which links earned attention, and turn those insights into sharper segments and stronger follow-ups next time.
